On 1/17/25, we had the honor of welcoming the extraordinary @KandyGLopez to share her story @creativezen_talks @nsuflorida! As a trailblazing Afro-Caribbean American #artist, Kandy's impactful work explores identity and uplifts marginalized communities through stunning fiber art and storytelling.

Her inspiring talk covered her artistic journey, from growing up in Florida to earning her #BFA and #MFA, to becoming one of Broward County’s most celebrated artists.

Kandy shared highlights from her impressive career, including solo exhibitions at the #NSUArtMuseum, #CoralSpringsMuseum, and #SpadyMuseum, as well as her prestigious #AlonzoDavisFellowship and upcoming shows like #ExpoChicago and The Armory Art Center.
