Slow Burn Theatre Company returns to open its highly anticipated 2021/2022 season in the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts with Songs for a New World from Tuesday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Oct. 24. The season is presented by American National Bank, South Florida's premier community bank.
It's about one moment. It's about hitting a wall and having to make a choice... or taking a stand... or turning around to go back. Songs for a New World, the first musical from Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Bridges of Madison County), is a moving collection of powerful songs examining life, love and the choices we make.
As we all grapple with the jumble of emotions prompted by the end of the pandemic, this moving theatrical piece serves as a potent reminder of what a joyful experience musical theater can be.
