For most of her life, Stella Amador kept her poetry private. Even as she built businesses and spoke publicly, the poems she wrote to process heartbreak, hope, and the quiet complexities of life felt too personal to share. About three years ago, something shifted. She made a quiet promise to show up for her creative life in a deeper way. She began attending open mics across South Florida, searching for a space where poetry was the focus. When she could not find one in Fort Lauderdale, she decided to create it herself.

Wild Bloom Poetry grew from that intention. What began as a small gathering has evolved into an intimate sanctuary rooted in presence, courage, and authenticity. It also reflects Stella’s mission through Bloom by Stella, where she creates tools and experiences that support clarity, self awareness, and purposeful living. Six months later, Wild Bloom has grown into a vibrant community that shows up for one another with heart and intention.

The next chapter of this journey arrives with the Wild Bloom Poetry Six Month Anniversary Holiday Celebration, taking place Friday, December 12 at 7:30 PM at Emily’s Garden in Fort Lauderdale. The venue became Wild Bloom’s home after the series quickly outgrew its original space, a transition that unfolded naturally and affirmed the growing need for a gathering like this.

For those attending for the first time, Wild Bloom offers an atmosphere that feels welcoming, intimate, and quietly electric. Each gathering begins with live jazz from resident musician Izzi Guzman, whose trombone opens the room in a grounded and soulful way. A featured poet then shares their work before the mic opens to the community. The exchange that follows is rooted in vulnerability and deep listening. Nothing feels rushed. Nothing feels performative. Everything feels human.

Some of the most powerful moments unfold when someone arrives convinced they are not ready to share. By the end of the night, something softens. They step toward the mic. They speak their truth aloud. These moments capture the essence of Wild Bloom, where poetry becomes a catalyst for confidence, connection, and transformation. Month after month, strangers leave feeling seen.

This upcoming celebration brings the series full circle with the return of Oscar Fuentes, The Biscayne Poet, who served as Wild Bloom’s first featured poet when it launched in June. His open mic in Miami played a key role in encouraging Stella to share her own poetry, making his return especially meaningful for this milestone. The evening will also include music from the G.G. Collective, Izzi Guzman’s jazz duo, joined by keyboardist Michael Gaspari, creating a warm and immersive soundscape for the night.

Beyond the monthly gatherings, Stella sees Wild Bloom as part of a broader cultural movement she hopes to nurture throughout Broward County. Her vision for the coming year includes expanding the platform to uplift poets, musicians, and storytellers while cultivating partnerships with organizations, foundations, and community leaders who understand the power of art to bring people together.
