Miramar is entering 2026 with serious cultural ambition, and nowhere is that more clear than inside the Miramar Cultural Center. What used to be a strong neighborhood venue has grown into one of South Florida’s most exciting cultural destinations, blending world-class performances with free outdoor community programming that makes the entire campus feel alive.
If you haven’t explored what’s happening at the Center lately, this year’s lineup is your wake-up call.
Inside the theater, the 2026 schedule is stacked. On February 14, Teddy Riley & Friends brings New Jack Swing to Miramar with the same energy and nostalgia that shaped a generation. It’s the kind of Valentine’s weekend performance that feels big for the city and exactly the type of headliner that signals where Miramar is headed.
Just a few weeks later on March 1, the stage transforms for Color the World! – The New Florida Follies. With more than 35 performers ranging from 55 to 97 years old, it’s a multi-generational, Broadway-style production that proves creativity doesn’t age and community theater can hit a higher level when the storytelling is personal.

Even the tail end of 2025 sets the tone for the year ahead. On December 30, International Ballet Stars present Swan Lake—a classic, sweeping performance that gives Miramar audiences a chance to experience world-class ballet without driving across the county.

And that’s just what’s happening under the roof.
Step outside and you’ll find one of the most active community lawns in Broward. What used to be an open patch of green has evolved into a full-time gathering space where the neighborhood meets for free yoga, fitness classes, wellness sessions, and outdoor community events that feel more like weekly rituals than one-off programs. It’s casual, consistent, and exactly the sort of programming that builds a healthier, more connected city.

On weekends, the lawn often fills with families, music, picnics, and the kind of pop-up cultural moments that make a place feel special. When the sun sets and the building lights glow, the whole campus has an energy that’s hard to find anywhere else in Broward.

Miramar has reached a point where the Cultural Center isn’t just offering events—it’s shaping identity. The combination of premium performances indoors and free, accessible experiences outdoors is giving residents more reasons to stay local, visitors more reasons to explore, and creatives more reasons to plug in.
2026 is the year the Miramar Cultural Center becomes a destination rather than a venue. If you’re looking for theater, dance, music, wellness, community gatherings, or simply a place that feels culturally alive, Miramar is ready for you.
